Student Project & Competition: Social Media Intern Team at TOOL

TOOL Digital is seeking a project team of student intern changemakers for our upcoming Social Media project. This project aims to re-think how we can mobilize collaboration & interaction between "Generation Cleanup" and established ocean & energy industry actors.

The selected team members will get a fixed sum for participating in the student project, and we will reward a cash prize of 20KNOK & full-time paid summer internship to minimum one of the participants. We will also feature the team members at the end of the project period (June 2022).

You’re passionate about tech-for-good, and accelerating the transition of the ocean & energy industries to become free of emission & waste. You wish to utilize your capabilities & talents in a way where you create impact for the future.

You are interested in a career working within one of the industries we cover. You may already actively use SoMe to mobilize engagement for sustainable ocean & energy.

You may already hold a basic B2B insight based on your education or practical work experience. You connect your passion for the ocean & renewables industries, with an intuitive & hands-on way of utilizing SoMe to connect fellow changemakers and engage across borders.

The role of the SoMe Student Project Team

We are looking for a team of creative communicators, creatives & social media interns to work with our digital team. You can be an existing group looking for a project, or an individual wanting to join a group. You will get real experience, working with experienced profiles both internally and among our partners. You will get hands on planning campaigns with us and profiled industry pioneers; incl. social media calendars, creating social media posts, marketing collaterals, designing assets and assisting the Captain of Digital & Marketing with brainstorming campaigns.

You will be able to:

  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms

  • Brainstorms campaign ideas

  • Monitor various social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook

  • Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.

  • Understand the overall concept of the TOOL, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service to ensure growth

  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, newsletters, infographics and videos on our relevant platforms

  • Be the bridge between the activation team and the communication team during campaigns to ensure the outcome is taken care off

  • Community Management - Interact with TOOL’s community and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments

About Your Awesome Self

You will have a passion for startups and making an impact towards a zero-emission society, preferably also for the Ocean and Renewable Energy industries.

If you have a background where holes in your CV, physical disabilities, age, gender identity, a non-traditional background, lack of formal degree, your name, skin color, religion or culture has represented challenges in the past – please know that we are founded by a school dropout and industry rebel. We treasure all forms of diversity and actively seek to recruit brilliant & creative people that more conservative companies may overlook.

The following skills will be preferable, but we are more focused on your skills/talents than your formal background:

  • You can be a first-year student, almost a graduate, post-grad or somebody who is looking for a career change

  • If you LOVE writing and/or designing, then we would love to hear from you

  • Ability to work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once

  • Creative mindset

  • Ability to multitask

  • Self-motivator, good in time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure

  • Fluency in English required

  • You DO NOT have to tick all the boxes, but if you have something to bring to the team, then bring it!
