TOOL connects with Blue Economy startups during the Blue Bio Value Program

TOOL’s partnerships agent, Carmen Escobar participated in the Blue Bio Value Acceleration in Lisbon Portugal, connecting with startups working toward the sustainability of the oceans. The program bring together startups from different places of the world that propose solutions in the marine bio-economy sector. The program aims to accelerate startups that operate along the value chain of marine bio-resources, specifically in the blue biotechnology sector, that offer sustainable services or products contributing to a healthier use of ocean resources.

During the collaboration days, the startups received an on-boarding to the TOOL community, visited and connected with different actors in Portugal and stated to look for possibilities of partnering and building cooperative networks that bring the solutions into action faster and stronger.

The 17 startups that participated have prototypes or have already launched their solutions and are looking for funding opportunities to scale.
