TOOL Connects with Latin American Green Business Community

TOOL’s global collaboration agent, Carmen Escobar, held a webinar for the Latin American Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday this week. She focused on the work of TOOL, current opportunities in TOOL Spawn and collaborative networks, and was received with great interest by the chamber’s members.

“If we are to solve the global challenges facing our oceans we have to include all regions in the world. We are here to fill the gap, between the Latin-American sustainably oriented business world and the rest of the TOOL Community,” Carmen says.

Camera Verde de Comercio is the first Green Chamber of Commerce in Latin America, with chapters in Colombia and Mexico. Their members consist of entrepreneurs, companies and organizations committed to building sustainable value chains. Their work is focused on green capacity building, promoting green business networks and political advocacy for their members.

Several participants during the presentation expressed great interest in TOOL and are keen on getting on board. Carmen will be working on onboarding Camara Verde’s members on TOOL Spawn and extracting and posting their opportunities on the platform.
